Regulating without hindering innovation: the regulation of innovative technologies — issues, challenges and perspectives for Protection Authorities in Africa
The 9th General Assembly of the RAPDP (African Network for the Protection of Personal Data) brings together African data protection authorities in Abidjan from May 18 to 21, 2026. It coincides with the 10th anniversary of the network, founded in 2016 in Ouagadougou. Organized by ARTCI (the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire), this edition aims to consolidate Abidjan as the African capital of digital sovereignty and to produce the Abidjan Final Declaration – a regulatory doctrine for 2026–2030.
